What business leaders are seeing, learning, and preparing for now
At our latest roundtable, leaders explored how AI is reshaping their industries, defining their business strategies, and influencing how they lead. While the conversation was forward-looking, it was grounded in the real-world challenges and opportunities AI presents today.

AI = Augmented Intelligence: A synergy of human and machine
A central theme was the idea of AI as “augmented intelligence,” where it enhances human capabilities rather than replacing them. We agreed that AI is at its best when it complements human creativity and critical thinking. As one leader put it, “The combo of people + AI is what makes the magic—we can’t lose either part.”

AI as a strategic tool for business growth
Leaders are using AI to help drive strategic decisions by getting real-time insights into human behavior, market trends, and operational performance. While AI’s ROI may not always be immediately clear, the consensus was strong: The businesses that embrace AI today will be better positioned to navigate tomorrow’s challenges and opportunities.

The need for an AI-first culture
Building an AI-first culture involves viewing AI not as a disruptive force but as a tool for innovation and productivity. Leaders agreed that organizations must equip their teams to work alongside AI, integrating it into daily operations while maintaining a focus on human creativity and judgment. An AI-first mindset ensures that the power of AI is leveraged effectively and aligned with the company’s values and goals.

The relationship between data, knowledge, and wisdom
One of the most insightful moments of the session came when we discussed the relationship between data, knowledge, and wisdom. Peter Hutchinson reminded us that Harlan Cleveland* wrote: “Data + analysis = knowledge. Knowledge + judgment = wisdom.” AI is a learning model based on inputs—it processes data and generates analysis—but it’s human insight that turns that information into wisdom.

AI’s Transformative potential across industries
From healthcare to content creation, marketing, and customer engagement, AI is revolutionizing how businesses operate. AI’s ability to automate tasks, personalize experiences, and improve operational efficiency can enhance customer satisfaction and create new opportunities. However, industry-specific challenges—particularly in regulated fields—highlight the importance of using AI ethically and responsibly.
Big thanks!
To our attendees who contributed their invaluable insights, and our partner Tim Brunelle who helped us imagine what’s around the AI corner. Together, we’re ready to navigate the journey.
